FIREFIGHTER INFORMATION SESSIONS

Do you have questions about the application process and hiring process? What does it take to become a LCBF firefighter? Come to an information session to find out more about being a career firefighter with the Lancaster City Bureau of Fire. We are offering two info sessions during the application period. Both sessions will present the same information.

Thursday, April 11 @ 6 p.m.

Wednesday, April 24 @ 6 p.m.

Info sessions will take place in Council Chambers in City Hall, 120 N. Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Please enter City Hall off of Marion Street. Doors will be open at 5:45 p.m. No RSVP necessary.

Family Literacy Program at the Nationalities Service Center 

Nationalities Service Centeris now enrolling for its Family Literacy Program.

“Our family literacy program aims to help immigrant parents enrich their English language,literacy, and parenting skills, and to assist them in promoting their children’s educational development at home and at school”

The program consists of three #components:

1. English Language Instruction – Beginner and intermediate levels available.

2. Parenting & Early Literacy Skills Workshops – Training and resources to help parents advocate for their children to succeed in school and navigate the US school system.

3. Opportunities for parents and children to interact and practice literacy as a family unit. Includes fun activities which motivate children to keep exploring and learning!
