Story #1 About The Girl Who Got It All

My name is Lucie Briot Gautier. I amFrench.

I studied Psychology inDijon, France (famous for the mustard 😜) and got a Master’s Degree in 2008.

I decided to do my first relocation toDublin, Ireland in order to learn English and discover a different culture. Gilles Cognard, recruiter at CPL was the first one to believe in myself and offer me my first job in an international environment.

There, I met my husband Steven, who is French too (and half Irish on his mother’s side). We have lived there for 2 years and half and met amazing people.

We moved back to France because we wanted to extend our family. I got a job at SmarDTV in La Ciotat, where I was able to work for more than 4 years as an HR Officer and a Technical Recruiter. We realized our dream and had three kids.

In 2017, we decided that it was time for a new adventure in our lives, so my husband asked for a relocation to the US. Six months later we were ready to start a new life inSeattle, Washington, USA.

We moved in with 3 kids (5, 2 and 1 years old). It was not easy but it was the best adventure we experienced as a family.

It was not easy to understand the credit score, the Visa, the EAD, the medical system… Without Credit score we were not able to buy a car at the beginning. It showed us how difficult it could be to arrive in a country as an immigrant.

It took us patience and flexibility to set up our new life here, although it paid off. I worked as a contractor for Microsoft (French data analyst) for 6 months and I am a Technical recruiter atBlueprint Technologies and I am very happy. I have no regrets, only some amazing stories to tell about all our unbelievable adventures 😊.
